One of the true natural spectacles in all of North America, Glacier National Park is less than 70 miles from The Most Beautiful House on Flathead Lake, making for an easy day trip during your stay at our home.

The park features alpine meadows, spectacular lakes, rugged mountains and more than 700 miles of hiking trails. The landscape is stunning, and the park actually crosses the border between the United States and Canada, becoming Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta.

Summer Rate: $25 per vehicle

The park features the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road. This visitor favorite is one of the most stunning drives in the world. The winding road spans 50 miles with breathtaking views of glaciers, mountain peaks and gorgeous lakes.

The beauty of Glacier National Park doesn’t end with the natural splendor. The park is home to six architectural wonders that are registered National Historic Landmarks, including the Lake McDonald Lodge and Many Glacier Hotel.

If you’re traveling with children to the park, kids have the opportunity to join the National Park Service’s Junior Ranger program. Upon completing a ranger-led program and at least five activities in the Junior Ranger booklet, kids will receive a badge and the title of Junior Ranger.

Grizzly bears, mountain goats, wolverines and lynx are known to inhabit the park, as well as hundreds of species of birds, many of which can be seen while traveling through the park.
